MENU Blog Webmail

We implemented a five-year Governance and Transparency Fund (GTF) project with funding support of UKAid through Department for International Development (DFID).

As a national network and directly through our members, we have established successful working relationships and partnerships with reputable organisations such as UNICEF, World Bank, UN, USAID, ActionAid, UNDP, WaterAid, End Water Poverty, African Network on Water and Sanitation (ANEW), Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in Niger Delta (PIND), WASH Media Network etc to advocate, influence, carry out campaigns, workshops, monitor and implement projects on water, sanitation and hygiene.

NEWSAN is an active member of the National Task Group on Sanitation (NTGS), the statutory body mandated by the Federal Government of Nigeria to oversee water, sanitation and hygiene issues in the country in addition to serving on the National WASH Emergency Group Committee charged with WASH oversight functions during emergencies and national disasters.

NEWSAN has recently been appointed as the SWA (Sanitation Water for All) CSOs Focal Point for Nigeria. Below is a list of our most recent and ongoing programmes and activities.
