Capacity building and institutionalized strengthening

This was the day two meeting held on the 10th November 2018 that preceded the first day supported by WSSCC. The meeting was the continuation of the first day’s agenda and was exclusively for the NEWSAN Membership; which further took them through on the roles of Advocacy and M&E in promoting WASH service delivery. The two speakers on these topics which were drawn house examined the various roles these key topics played in achieving global standards on WASH delivery services.

Also, the meeting further examined the way forward that will help NEWSAN maximize her capacity as a network on service delivery to her target group which is the poor who lack access to water and sanitation.

For issues that could be resolved, immediate actions were taken, and the officials were mandated to handle them immediately.

Furthermore, the network looked at prospective areas of engagements and partnership in the coming year 2019. The National Secretariat was to work closely with states to strategize for effective reporting, fundraising, and any other engagement that will enhance the network performance.
